Gear up for an unforgettable day of community service and adventure with the Mill Creek Yacht Club’s 30th Annual Cleanup by Canoe.
Since 1995, this event has united the community in a collective effort to honor Earth Day through meaningful action.
This is not your average cleanup event; it’s a dynamic adventure in the great outdoors. You’ll participate in a vigorous day of cleaning while paddling through the waters of Mill Creek.
It’s a unique opportunity to contribute to the health of our environment while experiencing the beauty of our local waterways.
Dress Code: This is a hands-on, feet-wet event! Come equipped in waders, boots, or sturdy shoes, ready to get wet and muddy.
Open-toed shoes are a no-go. The Mill Creek Yacht Club will provide safety gear like Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs).
What to Bring: While we’ve got the safety gear covered, consider bringing shovels, pry bars, work gloves, sun hats, sunscreen, insect repellent, snacks, a dry bag, and a refillable water bottle.
Extra supplies will also be available.
The Plan: Volunteers will be organized into teams and tackle cleanups in two distinct sections of Mill Creek, Sharonville, and Reading.
This event involves many components; each volunteer will play a critical role in our collective success.
Preparation is key, so we’ll share the exact meetup spots with all registered volunteers before the event date. This is your chance to make a tangible difference, enjoy the camaraderie of fellow environmental enthusiasts, and be part of a tradition that has positively impacted our local waterways for three decades.
Let’s paddle together toward a cleaner, greener future for Mill Creek and our community!
